Google local business ads BETA

Sponsored Links

Google AdWords is introducing local business ads, a new ad type that allows advertisers to promote location-based products and services to interested users worldwide (note: this service is available for business locations in the U.S, Canada and the U.K.). Local business ads appear with an enhanced map component on Google Local and in a text-only format on Google.com and other sites in the Google network.

Why local business ads?

Google’s goal is always to offer users relevant information through our search results and advertising. Local business ads can help users by showing them products and services that are physically nearby, and help advertisers by providing a new way for them to reach more local customers.

What’s more, both small businesses and large chains can easily target multiple locations within a single Ad Group using the same keyword list – yet another way of targeting more customers more effectively.

How it works

Whenever a user enters a query that matches advertisers’ chosen keywords and business information, up to three local business ads may appear as "Sponsored Links" below the user’s Google Local search results. The ads display in two parts: a highlighted listing in the search results column and a map marker that expands to show additional business details when the user clicks on the ad title or the marker itself.

Flitic – New Way to Tag and Manage RSS Feeds

leave a comment

Flitic
is a new way to manage, tag and find RSS, XML and ATOM feeds. Letting you find feeds, subscribe to blogs, find what’s popular and import and export your feeds. Use the free downloadable RSS reader to read feeds and also find more feeds to subscribe to.

I’ve noticed they have Tag Clouds for Feeds that you’ve suvscribed.  But They have to put a lot more features to compete with Bloglines.com or NewsGator.com .

It can Add OPML, XML, RSS, ATOM feeds.

Downside of the moment: I’m having some problems with Displaying the listing of Feeds and Some of the Links returns 404. As in Beta Stage you can expect that. They are still developing.

Check Flitic. Don’t forget to comment whatever you’ve found their features.

Subscribe to a blog or web site with an RSS-feed and get notified when it is updated. You decide when and where to get notified – Queoo sends you e-mails or instant messages on a schedule of your choice. It’s free!

Why Queoo?

  • Queoo monitors your favourite feeds and compiles lists with blog and web site updates.
  • Queoo notifies you when you want it to, in between you can stay focused on other tasks, relieving you from constantly looking for updates.
  • Queoo notifies you with e-mails or instant messages so there is no need to install any RSS-software.

What are my Obligations… Well They have a nice service but not all people on the world has ICQ as their IM. I hope later they will add other instant messenger services.
