JVC just introduced their GZ-MG47 (pictured) disk-based camcorder. The MG47 comes in at the low-end of the series with a 20GB hard drive capable of recording about 5-hours of MPEG-2 video quality (at highest quality settings) and features a single CCD for 1.3 megapixel snaps, and F1.2 lens capable of a 15x optical zoom. Expect to see the MG47 hit for retail sometime in July for about $1300 +-.
