Would you like to use a productivity application, to organize your activities, in work, business, or personal? Such as GTDAgenda web based productivity development tool. It’s a web project and task management application based on David Allen’s GTD (Getting Things Done), pretty obvious though. It has the usual features like Projects, Contexts and Next Actions. But also other unique features: Goals & Vision Wall. What are the Goals? Goals are bigger outcomes you want to reach, with a deadline. A goal can be accumulation of multiple projects. On the other hand the Vision Wall is formed of inspiring pictures that you can link to your goals, and have them delivered to your e-mail daily so you are motivated to take action. Pretty neat. Checklists – For the repetitive tasks that you have to do, on a regular basis – take it as a to-do list. In fact GTDAgenda is not that new, it came out beginning of 2008 and still improving itself along the way. Read the rest of this entry »

Basecamp – Projects Solved

Previously mentioned campfire can make your business decissions much more easier. For whatever project you choose, aptly name a new Campfire account. In the Backpack version, tags are attached to each page to give you an easy way to see where everything is. For Campfire, instead of using tags, create a new chat room (as with every 37signals product, paying for it gives you more room to grow) for things like "@home" or "@work". You can log-in to your Campfire and see the activity in each of these sections and keep a real-time record of whatever you like inside each chat room. Giving other people access as members or sharing a Campfire page can increase productivity as well. The topics feature can also be used as a tag-replacement, giving more detail to whichever room you are in.
A simple tool, 101 uses
There are so many ways to use Campfire. Up to 60 people can chat at once. You can even browse previous chats by person, room, or date.
Basecamp is a unique project collaboration tool. Projects don't fail from a lack of charts, graphs, or reports, they fail from a lack of communication and collaboration. Basecamp makes it simple to communicate and collaborate on projects.
It's elegant, easy, and web-based. You don't need to download, install, or configure anything (no IT department required!). All you need is a web browser and an internet connection. And don't worry, your data is safe with us.
Screenshot highlights
- Anything that's late appears in a red box at the top of the screen so you don't miss it.
- Your logo appears in the upper-right and the name of your Basecamp site at the top of the screen.
- Any milestones due in the next 14 days are plotted and linked on a calendar, starting with today's date. If there are no milestones in the next 14 days, the next 3 milestones are listed.
- A list of your active and on-hold projects is sorted by client.
- The "Latest activity" list shows you your most recently updated projects and the newest stuff in each one. Each item is either labeled a comment, message, to-do item, file, or milestone.
